Account Settings puts you in complete control of how BeMoreKinky works for you—from the name your partner sees to the notifications you receive, from what data you share to how the app looks and feels. Customize every detail to match your comfort level, protect your privacy with robust security options, and make the app truly yours. This is intimacy exploration on your terms.
Profile Settings
Accessing Your Profile
- Tap the Profile tab (person icon)
- Tap Edit Profile or the settings gear icon
Profile Information
You can customize:

Updating Your Avatar
- Go to Profile > Edit Profile
- Tap your current avatar

- Go to Profile > Preferences > Identity
- Set your:
- Role (Dominant, Submissive, Switch)
- Gender Identity
- Pronouns (displayed to partner)
Content Preferences
Control what content you see:

- Adjust:
- Image Display - Show/hide activity images
- Explicit Content - Level of content visibility
- Role Filter - Default role filter for browsing

Analytics & Tracking
We collect anonymous data to improve the app. You can opt out:
- Go to Profile > Privacy > Analytics
- Toggle off Help Improve BeMoreKinky
Note: This doesn't affect app functionality.
Account Security
Changing Your Password
- Go to Profile > Account > Security
- Tap Change Password
- Enter your current password
- Enter and confirm new password
- Save changes
Password Requirements
Strong passwords should have:
- At least 8 characters
- Mix of upper and lowercase letters
- At least one number
- At least one special character
Email Address
To change your email:
- Go to Profile > Account > Email
- Enter your new email address
- Enter your password to confirm
- Verify the new email via link sent
Connected Accounts
Manage sign-in methods:
- Go to Profile > Account > Connected Accounts
- View connected services (Google, Apple)
- Add or remove connections
Data Management
Exporting Your Data
Download a copy of your data:
- Go to Profile > Data & Privacy > Export Data
- Request an export
- You'll receive an email with download link
- Export includes ratings, quiz results, and history
Resetting Data
Reset specific data types:

Deleting Your Account
To permanently delete your account:
- Go to Profile > Account > Delete Account
- Read the consequences
- Enter your password
- Confirm deletion
What happens:
- All your data is permanently deleted
- Active subscriptions continue until cancelled separately
- Partner connections are severed
- This action cannot be undone

Q: How do I change my username?
A: Go to Profile > Edit Profile and update your Display Name. This is what your partner sees.
Q: Can I use the app without notifications?
A: Yes. You can disable all notifications in Profile > Notifications, or in your device settings. However, you might miss important updates from your partner.
Q: How do I make my profile completely private?
A: Go to Profile > Privacy and set all sharing options to off. Your partner will only see basic connection status.
Q: What happens to my data if I'm inactive?
A: Your data is preserved indefinitely while your account exists. We don't delete inactive accounts automatically.
Q: Can I change the email associated with Google/Apple sign-in?
A: The email comes from your Google/Apple account. To change it, update your email in Google/Apple account settings.
Q: How do I report inappropriate content?
A: Use Profile > Help & Support > Report a Problem and select "Inappropriate Content." Include details about what you saw.
Q: Can I hide my account temporarily?
A: There's no "hide" feature, but you can:
- Pause your partner connection
- Disable activity status
- Turn off notifications
Troubleshooting
Can't Update Profile
- Check your internet connection
- Ensure all required fields are filled
- Try a smaller profile image
- Force close and reopen the app
Settings Not Saving
- Wait for the save confirmation
- Don't navigate away too quickly
- Check your connection
- Try logging out and back in
Email Change Not Working
- Check spam folder for verification email
