Partner Connection & Pairing

The magic happens when you connect. Partner Connection transforms BeMoreKinky from a personal discovery tool into a relationship superpower. See where your desires align, uncover surprising matches you never discussed, and finally have those conversations that felt too awkward to start. With secure pairing and complete control over what you share, you can explore together while respecting each other's privacy and pace. This is intimacy communication made effortless.


Connecting with a Partner

Methods of Connection

There are two ways to connect with a partner:

1. Email Invitation

Send an invitation directly to your partner's email:

  1. Go to Partner tab
  2. Tap Invite Partner
  3. Enter your partner's email address
  4. Tap Send Invitation
  5. Your partner receives an email with a link to connect

Note: Email invitations expire after 7 days. You can resend if needed.

2. Pairing Code

Use a unique code for instant connection:

  1. Go to Partner tab
  2. Tap Generate Pairing Code
  3. Share the 6-digit code with your partner
  4. Your partner enters the code in their app under Partner > Enter Code
  5. Connection is established immediately

Note: Pairing codes expire after 15 minutes for security.


Accepting an Invitation

Via Email

  1. Open the invitation email
  2. Tap the "Accept Invitation" link
  3. If you have the app, it opens directly to accept
  4. If not, you'll be prompted to download the app first
  5. Once accepted, you're connected!

Via Pairing Code

  1. Go to Partner tab
  2. Tap Enter Pairing Code
  3. Enter the 6-digit code from your partner
  4. Tap Connect
  5. You're now connected!

The Partner Dashboard

Once connected, the Partner tab becomes your shared space.

What You'll See

  • Partner Profile - Their display name and avatar
  • Shared Rankings - Activities they've chosen to share
  • Matching Interests - Activities you both rated Yes or Maybe
  • Quiz Comparisons - Compare your quiz results
  • Recent Activity - Their recent app activity (if sharing is enabled)

Matching Interests

The app automatically identifies:

  • Perfect Matches - Activities you both rated Yes
  • Potential Matches - One Yes and one Maybe
  • Discussion Points - Different ratings worth discussing

Managing Shared Preferences

Controlling What You Share

You decide what your partner can see:

  1. Go to Partner > Sharing Settings
  2. Toggle sharing options:
    • Activity rankings
    • Quiz results
    • Daily selections
    • Custom activities

Privacy Levels

Partner Status

Connection States

Your partnership can have different statuses:

Pausing a Partnership

Need a break from sharing?

  1. Go to Partner > Partnership Settings
  2. Tap Pause Partnership
  3. Your data is hidden but the connection remains
  4. Tap Resume when ready to share again

Ending a Partnership

Disconnecting from a Partner

If you need to end a partnership:

  1. Go to Partner > Partnership Settings
  2. Tap End Partnership
  3. Confirm your decision
  4. The connection is severed

What Happens When You Disconnect

  • Neither of you can see the other's shared data
  • Play proposals are cancelled
  • Assigned tasks are removed
  • Shared rewards are invalidated
  • Your individual data (ratings, quiz results) remains intact

Can You Reconnect?

Yes! Former partners can reconnect by sending a new invitation. However, previously shared data from before the disconnection is not restored.


Multiple Partners

Current Limitations

The standard account supports one active partner connection at a time. To connect with a different partner:

  1. End your current partnership
  2. Send a new invitation

Premium Multi-Partner (Coming Soon)

Premium members may have access to multiple simultaneous partner connections in future updates.


Partner Notifications

Notification Types

When connected, you may receive notifications about:

  • Partner accepted your invitation
  • Partner updated shared preferences
  • Partner completed a quiz (if sharing quiz results)
  • Partner created a play proposal
  • Partner assigned you a task

Managing Notifications

Control partner notifications:

  1. Go to Profile > Notification Settings
  2. Find Partner Notifications
  3. Toggle individual notification types on/off

Common Questions

Q: My invitation email never arrived. What should I do?

A:

  1. Ask your partner to check spam/junk folders
  2. Verify the email address is correct
  3. Try resending the invitation
  4. Use a pairing code instead as an alternative

Q: Can my partner see activities I rated "No"?

A: No. Only Yes and Maybe ratings are shared. Your No ratings and hidden activities remain completely private.

Q: What if my partner doesn't have the app yet?

A: When they tap the email invitation link, they'll be directed to download the app first. After installation, the invitation link will still work.

Q: Can I have more than one partner?

A: Currently, you can have one active partner at a time. Multi-partner support may be added in future updates.

Q: If I pause the partnership, can my partner still message me?

A: Pausing hides shared preferences but doesn't affect communication features. You can still receive proposals and task assignments.

Q: Will my partner know if I change my ratings?

A: They'll see updated shared rankings but won't receive notifications about specific changes unless the matching interests list changes.

Q: Can I block someone who invited me?

A: Yes. When viewing an invitation, tap Decline and select Block this person. They won't be able to send you future invitations.

Q: How do I know if my partner is active on the app?

A: If they've enabled activity sharing, you'll see their recent activity on the Partner dashboard. Respect their privacy settings—not everyone shares their activity.


Troubleshooting Partner Issues

"Invitation Expired" Error

The invitation link is only valid for 7 days. Ask your partner to send a new invitation or use a pairing code instead.

"Invalid Pairing Code" Error

  • Pairing codes expire after 15 minutes
  • Ensure you entered the code correctly (check for similar-looking characters like 0/O, 1/I)
  • Ask your partner to generate a new code

"Already Connected" Error

You or your partner may already have an active partnership. End the existing connection before creating a new one.

Partner Data Not Loading

  1. Pull down to refresh the Partner tab
  2. Check your internet connection
  3. Ask your partner to verify their sharing settings
  4. Try logging out and back in
