Rewards & Points System (Labs Feature)

Make every completed task, every fulfilled promise, and every moment of effort count with the Rewards system. Create your own intimate economy where points become prizes, good behavior earns treats, and anticipation builds with every saved point. Whether it's a massage, choosing movie night, or something far more exciting, you decide what's worth earning—and your partner decides what's worth giving. It's motivation, appreciation, and fun rolled into one irresistible system.

Understanding the Points System

How Points Work

Points are a virtual currency within your partnership:

  • Earn points by completing tasks and habits
  • Spend points on rewards your partner creates
  • Track balance to see your available points

Point Sources

You can earn points from:

Point Balance

Your balance consists of:

  • Total Earned - All points you've ever earned
  • Total Spent - All points used on rewards
  • Available - Current spendable balance (Earned - Spent)

Creating Rewards

What Are Rewards?

Rewards are treats, favors, or experiences that can be "purchased" with points:

  • Created by you for your partner
  • Created by your partner for you
  • Redeemable when enough points are saved

Setting Up a Reward

  1. Go to Labs > Rewards
  2. Tap Create Reward
  3. Fill in the details:
    • Name - What the reward is
    • Description - Details about the reward
    • Cost - How many points to claim
    • Availability - How many times it can be claimed

Reward Settings

When creating rewards, you can set:

  • One-time vs Repeatable - Can it be claimed multiple times?
  • Quantity Available - Limited stock (e.g., "only 3 available")
  • Expiration - Does the reward offer expire?
  • Prerequisites - Must complete certain tasks first?

The Reward Shop

Browsing Rewards

Go to Labs > Rewards > Shop to see:

  • All rewards your partner has created for you
  • Point costs for each reward
  • Your current balance and what you can afford
  • Reward availability status

Filtering Rewards

Filter the shop by:

  • Affordable - Rewards you can claim now
  • Saving For - Rewards you're working toward
  • Category - If rewards are categorized
  • Availability - In stock vs. out of stock

Claiming Rewards

How to Claim

  1. Open the reward you want
  2. Verify you have enough points
  3. Tap Claim Reward
  4. Confirm your selection
  5. Points are deducted from your balance

After Claiming

  • Your partner is notified
  • The reward moves to Claimed status
  • Your partner fulfills the reward
  • You can mark it as Received when completed

Reward Status

Managing Your Rewards

As a Reward Creator

View rewards you've created:

  1. Go to Labs > Rewards > My Creations
  2. See all rewards you've made
  3. Check which have been claimed
  4. Fulfill claimed rewards

Fulfilling Claimed Rewards

When your partner claims a reward:

  1. You receive a notification
  2. View the claimed reward
  3. Deliver on your promise
  4. Mark as Fulfilled

Editing Rewards

You can edit rewards that haven't been claimed:

  • Update the name or description
  • Adjust the point cost
  • Change availability

Note: You cannot edit rewards that have pending claims.

Viewing Your History

Point History

Go to Labs > Rewards > History to see:

  • All points earned (with sources)
  • All points spent (with purchases)
  • Running balance over time
  • Graphs of earning/spending trends

Purchase History

View all rewards you've claimed:

  • When you claimed them
  • How many points they cost
  • Current fulfillment status
  • Point snapshot at time of purchase

Partner Dynamics

Who Creates Rewards for Whom?

Either partner can create rewards:

  • You create → Partner claims with their points
  • Partner creates → You claim with your points

This creates a mutual exchange economy.

Balancing the System

For a healthy points economy:

  • Both partners should create appealing rewards
  • Point earnings should roughly match desired spending
  • Adjust task incentives if accumulation is too fast/slow
  • Communicate about reward desirability

Reward Categories

Organize rewards into categories:

  • Quality Time
  • Physical Touch
  • Acts of Service
  • Gifts
  • Intimacy
  • Custom categories

Wishlists

Mark rewards you're saving for:

  1. Tap the heart icon on a reward
  2. It's added to your Wishlist
  3. Track progress toward affording it

Reward Bundles

Create reward packages:

  • Combine multiple smaller rewards
  • Offer at a discounted total cost
  • Great for special occasions

Common Questions

Q: What if I don't have enough points for any rewards?

A: Focus on completing tasks to earn more points. You can also ask your partner to create lower-cost rewards, or check if there are easier tasks to complete.

Q: Can I take back points I've earned?

A: No, earned points cannot be reversed. However, points can be lost through task penalties if you miss assigned tasks.

Q: What happens to my points if we disconnect?

A: If your partnership ends:

  • Your point balance is preserved
  • Unclaimed rewards become unavailable
  • Claimed but unfulfilled rewards are cancelled
  • If you reconnect, you start fresh

Q: Can I give points to my partner?

A: There's no direct point transfer. However, you could create a reward like "Bonus Points" that grants them points when claimed.

Q: What if my partner never fulfills a claimed reward?

A: Communicate with your partner about pending rewards. If rewards consistently go unfulfilled, discuss adjusting the system or removing problematic rewards.

Q: Is there a maximum point balance?

A: No technical limit, but very high balances might indicate the system needs rebalancing (rewards too expensive, tasks too rewarding, etc.)

Q: Can I delete a reward that's been claimed?

A: No. Claimed rewards must be fulfilled or the claim must be cancelled (with mutual agreement) before the reward can be deleted.

Q: Do points expire?

A: Points do not expire. Your balance remains until spent.

Troubleshooting

Points Not Showing Up

  1. Verify the task completion registered
  2. Check that the task has point incentives enabled
  3. Pull down to refresh the balance
  4. Allow a few moments for sync

Can't Claim a Reward

Possible reasons:

  • Insufficient points
  • Reward out of stock
  • Reward has been removed or expired
  • Partnership is paused

Reward Not Fulfilled

If a claimed reward isn't being fulfilled:

  1. Check when it was claimed
  2. Communicate with your partner
  3. Consider discussing expectations
  4. As last resort, mutually agree to cancel the claim

Balance Seems Wrong

  1. Check Point History for discrepancies
  2. Look for missed task penalties
  3. Verify recent claims were intentional
  4. Contact support if numbers don't add up
