Listen to examples, practice speaking phrases aloud, and track your comfort level as nervousness transforms into confidence. Whether you've always wanted to talk dirty but didn't know how to start, or you're looking to expand your verbal repertoire, this feature gives you a private, judgment-free space to practice until you're ready to use your new skills where it counts.

What is Speaking Practice?
Speaking Practice is an interactive system that helps you:
- Build confidence speaking intimate phrases
- Practice different types of verbal expression
- Track your comfort level over time
- Develop your personal communication style
The Three-Phase Practice Flow
Each practice session follows three phases:
Phase 1: Listen
Purpose: Hear how a phrase sounds when spoken
- A phrase appears on screen
- Tap play to hear an audio example
- Listen to pronunciation, pacing, and tone
- Replay as many times as needed
Voice Options:
- Different voice types available
- Choose the voice that feels most helpful
- Voice settings saved for future sessions
Phase 2: Respond
Purpose: Practice speaking the phrase yourself
- Tap the record button
- Speak the phrase out loud
- Stop recording when finished
- Listen back to your recording (optional)
- Re-record if desired
Recording Tips:
- Find a private space
- Speak clearly and at your pace
- Don't worry about perfection
- Focus on comfort, not performance
Phase 3: Reflect
Purpose: Rate your comfort level
After speaking, rate how you felt:

Starting a Practice Session
- Go to Labs > Speaking Practice
- Choose a phrase type or start with recommended phrases
- View your practice stats (total phrases, practiced phrases)
- Tap Start Practice to begin
- Complete the Listen → Respond → Reflect cycle
- Continue to the next phrase or end session
Tracking Your Progress
Practice Statistics
View your stats on the main Speaking Practice screen:
- Total Phrases - All available phrases
- Practiced Phrases - Phrases you've completed
- Comfort Trends - How your ratings change over time

See past practice sessions:
- Which phrases you practiced

Creating Custom Phrases
Want to practice specific phrases? Use the Phrase Builder:
- Go to Labs > Phrase Builder
- Tap Create New Phrase
- Type your custom phrase
- Select the phrase type (intro, question, in-scene)
- Save to your library
Ad-Lib Style Building
The Phrase Builder also supports fill-in-the-blank style:
- Start with a template phrase
- Customize specific words
- Create variations quickly
Saved Phrases Library
Accessing Your Phrases
- Go to Labs > Saved Phrases
- View all phrases organized by type
- See custom word indicators for personalized phrases
Managing Saved Phrases
- Copy - Copy phrase text to clipboard
- Delete - Remove phrases you no longer want
- Filter - View specific phrase types
- Search - Find specific phrases
Resetting Practice
Starting Fresh
To re-practice phrases you've already completed:
- Go to Labs > Speaking Practice
- Tap Settings or menu icon
- Select Reset Practice History
- Confirm reset
- All phrases return to "unpracticed" status
Note: This doesn't delete your recordings or comfort ratings from analytics—it just lets you practice again.
Audio Recording Tips
Before Recording
- Use headphones to hear the example without recording it
- Find a private, quiet space
- Take a breath and relax
- Remember: no one else hears these recordings
During Recording
- Speak at your natural pace
- It's okay to pause
- Express emotion if it feels right
- Don't judge yourself mid-recording
After Recording
- Listen back if it helps you improve
- Don't be too critical
- Focus on progress, not perfection
- Rate your comfort honestly

- Recordings are stored locally on your device
- Not uploaded to servers
- Not shared with anyone
- Deleted when you clear app data

- Never associated with your identity externally

A: No. Recordings are stored locally on your device only and are not shared with partners or uploaded anywhere.

A: Some phrases may require:

Audio Not Playing
- Check device volume

Recordings Sound Distorted
